What is Bufferbloat. Bufferbloat is the undesirable latency that comes from upstream network equipment buffering too much data. This added latency is often at the root of many network issues, and occurs when all the capacity of a given connection is consumed and the buffers overfill, causing delays.

I got bufferbloat when I had an asymmetric DSL, VDSL (FTTN), and symmetric 50 Mb fiber. But after upgrading to 300 Mb symmetric fiber, I have no more bufferbloat issues when testing at dslreports.com. But I find lately it doesn't test for bufferbloat and sometimes initial transfers timeout and abort my test.
