If a raid general time is 8PM est on a east server, if you play on a west coast server it's still 8PM est.. They just raid at 5 server time. I really dont think east/west matters. Both servers have plenty of east/west players plus central time folk make up a lot of people who freely play on both too.However, Satele Shan is the notional West Coast server and a very large percentage of players on it live west of the Central Time. That impacts the scheduling of guild activities and the Group Finder pops.
