Hey! So I forgot to talk to Siegmeyer of Catarina before I opened the gate to Sen's Fortress. While in Sen's Fortress, I wasn't able to find him. Then I went to Anor Londo and finished that level (getting the Lordvessel as well as avenging the firekeeper at Firelink Shrine), and I didn't see him in that level either.

Killing seigmeyer won't affect the difficulty of your playthrough, don't sweat it. You can just get a slab and 10 humanity from his daughter if you follow his story through to the end, though. I also killed the knight sitting in front of firelink shrine at the beginning of the game and the pyromancer in blightown.
